| CATCHERS: FRAMING |
Teaches the catchers to catch the ball properly. Equipment: Glove, balls and catchers gear if desired. Procedure: The catchers should pair up with one being a pitcher and the other a catcher. The coach can also act as the pitcher. The catcher should assume her receiving stance with her throwing hand behind her back. The pitcher should throw pitches to different locations and the catcher concentrates on catching the ball properly. The palm of the glove should face towards home plate as the catch is made. Catch ten pitches and then switch. Switch two or three times. |
