8u - Rules.

Tournament governed by ASA Rules. Some Rules have be altered 
to fit Tournament particular needs. ASA Sanction Number,  may 
be picked up before the start of your first game. 


Tournament Format Pool Play - Double Elimination..
Point System for Pool Play.
3 = Win 
2 = Tie 
1 = Lost

Tie in Pool Play will be decided by : Total Points ,Head to Head,Runs Allowed,
Runs Score,Coin Toss


Game Time Limit 1 Hour 20 minutes for Pool Play, Bracket Play.
*Note 8u- will have a 1 hour and 20 minutes Time limit on all games.
* No International Tie breaker for pool play
Championship Games : No Time Limit.
Championship Games and Bracket Play: Has International Tie breaker in affect.
One umpire per game.

* NOTE  8u Div will only have One umpire for all games.


Pitching Distance 35 ft.
Bases Distance    60 ft.

{Batter}

1.} A batter will either strike out, or hit
the ball.The ump will not walk any batters.

2.) Strikes are to be called if a pitch is within the strike zone.

Unlimited amount of balls; however, the ump will call strikes.  The
ump may or may not give one warning to a batter. This warning if used
lets them know the next good pitch will be a strike.

The ump can/will strike a player out if she just stands there not
swinging at good pitches. 

Ball-11" Yellow optic, raised seamed fast pitch ball

An adult coach must pitch with at least
one foot starting on the pitching rubber.

All player will be on the line up to bat.

Runs per inning rule :   7 runs.


No coaches in the field when their team
is playing defense.

There will be two base coaches, and the
coach who is pitching may also assist with the runners.

Play will stop when the ball is in the
pitcher's circle and in control of the defense player.

The Coach Pitcher will not try to avoid the throw in order
to allow his/her runners to advance.  This will be
considered unsportsmanlike conduct. 


If the umpire feel any Coach or Coaches are trying to help advance there
team by acting in a unsportmanlike conduct. 

The Umpire will. 
 
1st time- Warning
2nd time- Removal from the playing field.
There won't be a 3rd time.

If the Coach Pitcher is struck with a batted ball, the play shall 
be ruled a dead ball.

There are no lead offs after the Coach Pitcher has released the ball.


Defensive Players - 10 players.
ALL PLAYERS MUST GET AT LEAST 1 INNING EVERY GAME. 

AWARDS-1st Place Team will get Awards.
Metals on a ribbons for all the 8u players. 15 Metals for each team.

COACHES-This will be the 2nd time we have had the 8u
play in the Jamboreee. Please try your best to make it enjoyable 
for all the Teams and Players.

8u MVP GAME

Each Coach will place his 4 Tournament MVP Payers in a jar Sunday at 11:00 a.m. 
The Winning Coach and the Runner up Coach will draw 14 Players name out of the
jar to make up the 2 8u MVP Teams. 

This game is to showcase the Top 8u Players in the Jambroee. 
Coaches if you have pitchers you can make the choice to have 
them pitch or not pitch. 
8U-MVP Game will start at 4:30 p.m.
