Rules & Tournament Format
* Tournament Director reserves the right to alter the format due to unforseen cirumstances *

Tournament governed by ASA Rules. Some Rules have be altered to fit Tournament particular needs.
ASA Sanction Number   /   may be picked up before the start of your first game.

Coaches must sign in 1 hour before the start of your first game.
Teams must be present for coin toss and ready to begin play 15 minutes before the start of your game.
CHIN STRAPS REQUIRED

Official Scoring of Game(s) - Score Card
Scoring-When the game is complete, the umpire will write down game scores on the "score card"
Coaches check that scores are correct, Score Card are the only "official" method of reporting Scores.

Tournament Format 23u Only - Round Robin if less then 8 Teams Enter.
Tournament Format Pool Play - Double Elimination.
Point System for Pool Play, Round Robin.
3 = Win
2 = Tie
1 = Lost

Tie in Pool Play will be decided by : Total Points ,Head to Head,Runs Allowed,
Runs Score,Coin Toss

Game Time Limit 1 Hour 20 minutes for Pool Play, Bracket Play.
* No International Tie breaker for pool play
Championship Games : No Time Limit.
Championship Games and Bracket Play: Has International Tie breaker in affect.
Two umpire per game.
* NOTE 10u Div will only have One umpire until Championship game.

Run ahead rule & Mercy rule : 8 runs after 4 innings, 7 runs after 5 innings of play.

Teams can use Courtesy runner for Catchers / Pitchers
Defense has 1:00 minute between innings for 3 warm up pitches."Pitcher Change: 3 warm-up pitches"
Offense has 1:00 minute to have first Batter, ready to receive pitch.
Delay of game [ defense] offense will be awarded 1 walk.
Delay of game [ offense] defense will be awarded 1 out.

23u, 18u only - Pitching rubber will be 43 feet.
10 under only

11" Softball
10 player in the field, extra player must play outfield.
Pitching rubber will be a distance of 35 feet from home plate.
Distance for base will be 60 feet.
Runs per inning rule :   5 runs.

Delay of Game(s) Policy:

1.) All Game(s) that will be delayed longer than Time Remaining in Game(s), that have Completed 3 innings of play, when game(s) stop
will be Scores as a "Official Completed Game"by reverting back to last completed inning, unless Home Team is winning.

2.) All Game(s) left on Schedule when play re-starts may be altered, in order to Complete as many Games as possible.

3.) If Games are altered by Shorting Game(s) times we will change the "Run ahead rule" & Mercy rule" 6 runs after 3 innings, 5 runs after 4 innings of play.
* Note: In Extreme cases, the Game length Time will over-ride the "Run ahead rule" and the game will be Declare Complete and Count as a Offical Game.

Rain-out Policy:

A.) If no games are able to be played, a "partial refund" or "Credit" for Future Tourmanet(s) hosted by OFC or OFA, may be provided to each team. Full refunds are not possible due to the expenses of the tournament which must be paid prior to the first game played.

B.) No refunds or credits will be given if your team has played at least one game. If extensive rain causes a delay that makes it impossible to complete the
tournament format, Tournament Director reserves the right to alter the format due to any unforseen cirumstances.

C.) Example: Tournament may be changed to single elimination.(may use point system)

D.) If weather causes the tournament to be canceled after games have been played, a point system will be used to determine the winners.

E.) If we're into "POOL PLAY" or "ROUND ROBIN" The number of games completed by all teams will determine the number of games used for the point system (i.e. if every team has completed 4 games, but half have completed 3 games, only the first 3 games will be used for points).

F.) If we're into "BRACKET PLAY" the number of games completed by all teams "STILL" in the "WINNERS BRACKETS" will determine the number of games used for the point system (i.e. if every team has completed 3 games, but half have completed 2 games, only the first 2 games will be used for points).
* Note: If we don't have all the 1st Round Game(s) in BRACKET PLAY complete, we will revert to Rule "E" to declare Tournament Champions.

Points will be awarded as follows.
3 = Win
2 = Tie
1 = Lost

5 = points for each Run scored.
-5 points for each Runs Allowed.

Tie if weather causes the tournament to be canceled decided by :
Total Points ,Head to Head,Runs Allowed, Runs Score,Coin Toss.
